Thistle Foundry and Machining,
founded in 1898, just
15 years after the N&W
came through here.
This is a Virginia Bridge
and Iron Co. Roanoke VA
1907 pair of
deck girder bridges
right behind
Thistle Foundry.
The old Bank of Graham,
cropped to remove
a looming satellite dish.
The former First
National Bank,
right downtown.
Bluestone Bedding,
now a private residence.
I made no effort to
conceal that I mostly
eliminated the current
name on the building
and the license plate of the
truck. The Bluestone River,
by the way, is the local waterway.
